Why a shuttle rather than the train
Albi is on the rail network, but the train sets the timetable and drops you at the station, some way from the sights. A private shuttle with driver collects the group from your Toulouse accommodation, drops you at the foot of the episcopal city, and waits while you visit.
The price is for the vehicle, not the seat: six or eight passengers, the figure does not move. That is the difference that counts when travelling as a family or a team.
What to see in Albi
The episcopal city of Albi is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Sainte-Cécile cathedral, built entirely of brick, stands above the Tarn and the Pont-Vieux — the same red as the façades of Toulouse.
The Palais de la Berbie, once the bishops' residence, now houses the Toulouse-Lautrec museum, dedicated to the painter born in the town.
Cordes-sur-Ciel and Gaillac wines
The excursion we have historically offered combines Albi, the medieval village of Cordes-sur-Ciel and a Gaillac wine tasting, over an 8-hour day departing from Toulouse. Cordes-sur-Ciel is reached on foot, up a steep climb: the shuttle drops you as close as possible and collects the group at the bottom.
