The ocean, and the town
The Grande Plage and the Rocher de la Vierge are the two images everyone brings back from Biarritz. The town has kept its imperial-resort air, with its villas and its casino facing the Atlantic.
Around it, the Basque coast runs through Bayonne, Anglet and Saint-Jean-de-Luz; the Spanish border is close by.
A long run, and what it changes
Over a distance like this, the train means connections and the car means somebody has to drive. The shuttle does it in one stretch: the group stays together, someone else drives, and the luggage travels with you.
The price is per vehicle, not per seat. On long distances that is where the gap with a per-person ticket shows most.
