A village below, the slopes above
Saint-Lary kept its village on the valley floor; the ski area is reached by the cable car that leaves from the centre. Which means the vehicle does not need to climb: you are dropped at the foot of the lifts.
Out of season the resort works as a base for the Aure valley, the Aspin pass and the Portet pass, and the thermal baths run all year.
The transfer is the real subject
A group landing at Blagnac with suitcases and ski gear has two options: hire several cars and drive in the mountains, or get into one vehicle. The shuttle takes the lot — passengers, luggage, skis — and the driver knows the road.
